FIDELCO GUIDE DOG FOUNDATION, INC.

RECEIVES $1,000 DONATION FROM JENZABAR

 

Bloomfield, Conn.-The Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, Inc. (Fidelco) has received a $1,000 donation from Jenzabar, Inc., the leading provider of software, services and strategies for higher education. The donation was part of Jenzabar's community service initiatives driven by the Company's philanthropic arm, The Jenzabar Foundation, and a result of an application by Bruce MacCullagh, an employee and longtime Fidelco volunteer.

MacCullagh and his family have “fostered” four Fidelco pups and his daughter Libby started a Facebook group on behalf of Fidelco.

"Bruce and his family are an important part of the larger Fidelco family. In addition to applying for Jenzabar’s generous donation, the MacCullagh’s are a foster family and as such, are at the top of our volunteer list,” said Christine Buhler, director of development for Fidelco. “Fostering a guide dog puppy is a 24/7 commitment and we are so fortunate to have such a devoted group of people working with us.”

The Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, Inc. is New England’s only guide dog school. It breeds and trains German shepherd dogs that are placed with men and women with visual disabilities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
